Grant Assessments for NCRIS

National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) is a restricted, non-competitive grant process, administered and delivered by the Department of Education.

The objective of each NCRIS grant is to support a project that, through participation in a national network of national research infrastructure projects, provides world-class research infrastructure to support high-quality research that will drive greater innovation in the Australian research sector and the economy more broadly. NCRIS empowers Australian researchers to address key national and global challenges and support collaboration between researchers and other end users, particularly industry.

Priority projects are identified by the Government and applicants are invited to apply for funding.

NCRIS currently supports 24 funded projects and an international membership. The projects are led by organisations including universities, publicly funded research organisations and private companies.

More information about NCRIS can be found on the Department of Education website: National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS)

Examples of research supported by NCRIS projects are on the Department of Educations case studies page.
